THEMES IN JOHN

I've been reading John a lot, and below are a couple of themes I keep coming across… 

Jesus came from another place, sent by the Father to this world to live as a man.  He came to tell about the Father and the place he came from, then to do a work to allow mankind to go to that other place.  He then returned to it and opened the way for people to go to that place (heaven).  The work he did was to arrange forgiveness of our sins through our recognition of them and our acceptance of him and his death as payment for our sins – this is for those who want it. It is free of charge. A gift from God.

RELIGIONS & GODS

No power, just a bunch of lies – all other religions are weak in the area of the spirit world and even here in this world. 

They all depend on convincing people of their doctrine and then getting them to fight for it.  If they were truly God they would have the power to show it all by themselves.  Even Jesus, who claims to be God, came without power as a baby.  But there is a MEGA DIFFERENCE.    Jesus was not a weak prophet who died (or was a supposedly reincarnated God who is really just a demon inhabiting a different body generation after generation), Jesus came in the only way he could to get the work done in order to make a person acceptable to God.  

He came without great fanfare (I think in part not to tip off the plan to the devils), to die for us, to cleanse us by his blood sacrifice in our place, and then return to his body to prove his godhood..  That is why he did not come with a great demonstration of power from heaven - a big show was not the mission.  He will return that way though. 

Having said all that, now that his work is done and his power available, Jesus and the church are just one more set of ideas and just one more supposed God/god – the people of Jesus live in the same problems and defeats and illness as the people of Buddha or the world.  

The issue though is not Jesus or his lack of power, it is the same issue as from the beginning – we (mankind) have to make decisions.  The book Defeat Your Saboteurs explains what the Bible says about getting and living what Jesus has provided for us through his birth, death on the cross, and resurrection and life in heaven.  A powerful life is available.  I have lived it and know it.  It is possible to live the supernatural provision of God of defeat of evil spirits and health and provion – but to get it you must understand how, why and what it is and what your part is. 

Having said that, because the presence of the spirits in rebellion to God fill this planet, you will not live heaven here – there are too many traps and too many enemies, but you can get a good life and be useful to God and know and experience God in a profound way….IF YOU BELIEVE IT, WANT IT, WILL SEEK IT AND DO IT.

OUR DUTIES

Our Duties:

Know God.  

Do what pleases Him.  

Serve people not in competition, but in true caring by seeing the need and heart cries of persons and even mankind as a group, and helping when no help is merited and when it is not convenient to help.  

Keep your focus on God.  

Love God, self and others.

Again:  help and interact with people and take the time to recognize people’s needs and to do something about them. 

SPIRITS & KINGDOMS

The spiritual kingdoms, and the physical manifestations, are very different.  Into the true God’s kingdom, as with any major spiritual kingdom, you enter through the leading and preparing of a spirit.  There is verbal/promotional part guided by the spirit(s). Then a bringing inside that kingdom and ownership by the kingdom and its spirit(s) of the person. And an ownership by the person of the ways, things and co-members of that kingdom.The system is the same for all major spiritual kingdoms, just as the rules of refrigeration work the same for everyone and every country.

Read Ephesians 2:18-19 - There is speaking the things of the kingdom and then the entrance into it through (in the case of Ephesians) – the Spirit of the Lord.  In other cases through other spirits belonging to that kingdom, for example Buddhist spirits, Moslem spirits, etc.

Every religion is very different, although some are founded upon violent and death spirits, such as Islam.  Convert or die. Violent or not, every spiritual kingdom works according to the spirits controlling it and will always conflict with the true Jesus who is God the Son, because he exposes that they are not God.  Other Jesus’ (the Christ spirits, etc. are OK because they are not God).

If a person really belongs to Christ, then the spirit of Christ in him/her will witness the presence of God’s spirit in another person and there will not be major divisions, rather there will be a measure peace due to being in the same camp.  Still, a person can be saved and have the pre-Jesus spirits still inside that also give off their presence and make it difficult for that person to find an easy place in the church.  Knowledge, teaching, ministry, counseling, and finally deliverance is needed to free the person to find his/her rightful place in God’s community
